Growing up there were many households rules in order to keep the peace around the casa del Reese. Brush your teeth three times a day, put the toilet seat down, wash behind your ears, eat your vegetables, and many more. I may not have followed all the rules, I jumped on my fair share of beds and ran with scissors a time or two, however there were three rules I never dared break. Three rules above all other rules that reigned supreme. These rules were established to keep us safe against anyone that might be seeking to prey upon a child. These rules could never ever be broken.
- Never open the front door without parent permission.
- Never answer the phone without parent permission.
- Do not give personal information to anyone over the phone.
I may not have escaped childhood without a few stitches, missing teeth, and broken bones but I managed not to get myself kidnapped! That has to count for something right, mom?
