Important Concepts For A Better BJJ Butterfly Guard

We have continued to build on our open guard connections this month and have this week began our exploration of the Butterfly Guard. As most of you know this guard is one of my favorite strategies to employ against larger opponents. The reason this particular guard is a large part of my arsenal is that regardless of whether you’re training gi or no-gi, the Butterfly Guard keeps my opponent’s weight off of me, as well as providing mobility and versatile combinations of sweeps and attacks. Fortunately for you, in this video I share these learned lessons with you in order to accelerate your learning curve with the Butterfly Guard!
