Guard Game February

Scheduled are a series of guard based drills that, just like last month during top game January, are focused more on transitions and the ‘gray area’ than on any specific technical instructions of technique. In this first week of February we will focus on guard movements and drills designed to develop your hip mobility, your core strength, and ability to move side to side and up and down. You don’t want to be stuck in one spot when using your guard and the drills this week will help develop a more fluid guard. We will also introduce technique and strategies specifically deigned to deal with the most common behaviors of skilled wrestlers or big strong opponents with minimal grappling skill.
